      Nice curve.

      Most people call the wood you have Ambrosia maple.
      Each of the streaks will have holes made by the ambrosia beetle larvae.
      The stains run up and down the tree from the holes.

      Spalting Usually refers to the early stages of rot. In maple spalting usually black lines from fungi.
