Walnut Tube Sculpture

Walnut Tube Sculpture

I made this sculpture object from a large walnut tree that came down during a storm in february (same tree as the bowl i posted today) having natural edge. (I'm happy that it is staying like glued on the piece).
One question? What have you done or plan to do to keep the bark from breaking off especially edges where it sits.
Will the bark hold up to to being the foot?

Good question...Stereo is the word that my brain generated
when first I laid my eyes on your tube sculpture...I love it.
