Yellow, Orange and Maroon Maple Vase with Black Rim
Handmade by Carl Ford. This vase was turned out of maple wood harvested near my house in NY state. I don't known what to call this vase shape, but I really like it. I love the grooved texture on this vase with rainbow colors that transition from yellow, to orange, and maroon. The clear finish is multiple coats of semi gloss acrylic. This vase has a round bottom. As you can see in the photos it sits at different angles from different view points. I like the way this adds to the artistic feel of the piece. This piece is approximately 6" tall by 4-3/4" in diameter (4-3/4" wide) with a 3/16" wall thickness. It weights approximately 5 oz.
