I've registered for the symposium and only had a chance to catch the tail end of Rudy. I know that we are able to view replays for 2 weeks and I looked around the AAW site but can't find where. Also reviewed my registration emails.

It's a possibility they aren't up yet I'm sure. Am I just missing it?

Same basic question, I haven't looked around to the extent that Tom has, but I missed all of Friday's sessions and was hoping I could view them this morning (Saturday). Guess I'll just have to wait....

In the demos I've done, it takes sometimes an hour for zoom to process and make available a 90 minute demo recording. I can imagine that a 7 hour recording might take a bit longer. Then someone has to probably split it up into sections so it's easier to watch, which will also take some time. I expect the folks that will do that are pretty busy supporting the live sessions, too. So give it a few days and if you registered, you should get an email with link(s) to the recordings.

The auctions appear to be a separate thing - I did have to register for an account at https://auction2020.woodturner.org to view the live auction. And it looks like there's a separate registration if you want to be approved to bid. It was "live" in that they opened bidding for one item, and collected bids via the site. There was an auctioneer in a little video window calling for bids.
I don't think you need to register just to look at the pieces for any of the auctions. The closed auction from last night can be found under the "Finished Auctions" link there, if you want to check out the results.

If you miss any part of the Virtual Symposium, the recorded content will be available on AAW's website for two weeks following the event for registered attendees. (Non-registered people will not have access.) Once the recorded content is ready, we will send an email to all registered attendees with instructions about how to access the content.

Well-stated Dave. Thank you.

Until you get caught

Standard Copyright issues aside, there is no one looking. Officially, sure, someone is supposed to be "looking." But the FBI deals with counterfeiting. And they're the only kids in town as far as any sort of enforcement goes. The porn industry has spent a bazillion dollars in a vain attempt to stop streaming captures and failed. Our entire government's budget couldn't fund a successful effort to prevent people from capturing streams.

That's how the internet works.

Replays are very easy to use.

"Thank you for attending AAW’s Virtual Symposium, June 10-12. We hope you enjoyed our first-ever all online event!"

Although I just got an email this morning, thanking me for attending the Symposium on June 10-12. Did I miss one? :)

@Chris, you may have missed one. I got this email yesterday (on the 16th). I haven't tried to access them yet.

"
Wow! 3,926 people registered for the AAW’s Virtual Symposium, July 10-12 and the Zoom sessions had 3,600 unique viewers from a total of 26 countries. This was AAW’s first all online event and it was tremendously successful (with just a few minor technical glitches).

VIDEO REPLAY

Thank you for registering for the Virtual Symposium! We hope you enjoyed the event. If you missed any of the sessions or would like to watch them again, the recorded content is now available on the AAW website through July 30 (two weeks). "

Just watched Glenn Lucas's Demo. Good Job Glenn. I look forward to watching the other people in the next few days. Thanks AAW for making this possible.
