The 2010/2011 Educational Opportunity Grant application period has now closed - we had a tremendous turnout:

    - 58 AAW chapters (up to $1,500 cash grant)
    - 40 Schools and other non-profits (up to $1,500 cash grant)
    - 60 Individuals (up to $1,000 cash grant)
    - 2 Students, under 25 years of age (up to $1,000 cash grant)

    …for a total of 160 applications.

Funds are limited and not everyone will receive a grant. The EOG committee will be studying these applications over the next couple of months, and will follow up with all the applicants in April or May to announce grant winners.

The EOG grant program is made possible by the generosity of AAW members and by wood art collectors. The program is 100 percent funded by donations and revenue sharing resulting from the EOG auction, conducted at the Saturday night symposium banquet each year.

Calls for 2011 EOG auction donations and revenue share items (60/40 split) will begin in March. Here’s a link to the 2010 EOG auction photo gallery.
