The Collectors or Wood Art, a non-profit organization founded in 1997, is committed to the development and appreciation of studio wood art (including turned objects, sculpture and furniture) among collectors, artists, educators, art critics, galleries, museums and the general public. To achieve that goal, CWA seeks to facilitate communications among collectors, creators, educators, art critics and exhibitors of studio wood art - and we need your help…

We are compiling a list of museums that:

• have wood in their collection, or
• may be interested in starting to collect wood, or
• may be interested in exhibiting wood

If there are museums in your area that may be interested in exhibiting or collecting wood, or that already have early American to contemporary wood in their collection, whether the wood is turnings, furniture or sculpture, please email the CWA Administrator, Sheryl Wallace at admin1.cwa@gmail.com with the name of the museum, address, web site and a short description of the type of wood the museum has in its collection or that it may be interested in obtaining or exhibiting. If you have spoken with the museum director or curator about this, please let us know their name, title and comments.

Also, if there are any craft or art fairs in your community that include wood artists, please send information about the event’s name, sponsoring organization, contact information and usual dates of the event, to Sheryl Wallace at admin1.cwa@gmail.com.

Thanks for your help and support
