So here's a Moffatt task lamp with a magnetic base I bought a year ago and used with my big lathe.

The other day I was changing the bulb (put in an LED, a 13W I think). Realized that I just didn't like how stiff the neck was and so I found something else.

The magnetic base is pretty good. It won't hold the lamp sideways off a wall mount, but otherwise does fine. The housing is some kind of "high impact" plastic and there's a switch on the back of the lamp. I paid $80 and figure I got some use out of it. $25 plus the cost of postage. Please feel free to text me at 985.860.1106 or to PM me if you like. Thanks! Mark
