The specially designed Apprentice™ S-Curve Tool Rest is an excellent tool for reaching into deep bowls. The two shaft mounting holes allow the bowl rest to reach along the outside of the bowl, or 6-1/2" inches into the bowl. The two extra inches of reach beyond the standard tool rest allows greater tool control inside deep bowls. It will work well with gouges or scrapers with the tool supported close to the work, reducing tool catches and producing superior results. It is designed for inboard turning. Bowl rest is 2" thick.
Has seen very little use. New at Craft Supplies the cost is $70 plus shipping.
