I wanted to introduce everyone to @Bill Boehme and @Emiliano Achaval new virtual helper the @AAW Forum Bot. The Bot is going to watch the for sale forum and automatically close and move posts to the Marketplace archive after 30 days of inactivity in a thread. We want to make sure the for sale forum stays current and the Bot is going to help us make sure that happens. Please continue to update your threads as per Steve's Marketplace rules post when an item is sold. If you have any questions please let us know. Thanks!

This just means that you will have to do real work. ;)

I don't think that the bot is smart enough to know when an item is sold so we (meaning you) will have to be the human bot. :D
You are right. I missed one somehow, the owner wrote that Item Sold. And the Bot sent him the notice that the listing had expired. I still got a job!

I'm out of a job! LOL
I doubt that your job is in danger. I do have a serious question: a friend of mine has health issues that are forcing him to sell his entire shop. He doesn't want to sell piecemeal. I took another friend over to give a ballpark estimate of the shop's value. After carefully walking through the whole shop, he put a price of $20,000 give or take a little. Can you direct us to potential buyers? What is the best way to show potential buyers pictures/movie of the shop? Thanks for any help you can give us.

Realistically, the best way to dispose of an entire shop is to have an estate sale/auction. Some businesses handle everything including a fixed price for the seller. I wonder if your friend was pricing things as if they were being sold piecemeal. Disposing of everything as a single lot will substantially reduce the selling price. The auction house commission will also take a big bite of the amount that the seller receives.

Because I rarely buy tools or machines used, I have no insight as to how my friend came up with his estimate. You gave good points to think about. Thanks, Bill.
