Twisted Shapes with Embellishments

Brian Horais

Produce eye-catching, twisted spiral shapes on a lathe. Develop twisted, multi-axis turning skills to produce both full and half-twist shapes. Additionally, gain hands-on instruction in embellishments including carving and shaping.​

Intermediate (requires the ability to turn a cylinder with tenons); Materials fee, payable to instructor, $35 for drive bit, 4-point, 5/8 inch; #2MT; hardwood and practice wood blanks; offset marking tool; and set of mesh sandpaper and pads​
