AAW platter contest entry

Here is my entry for the platter contest. It is Cherry 7 3/4" Diameter and 1 3/4" tall. The platter was turned to an ogee shape with a "bowl" depression. The areas under the texturing were then carved to make a flowing transition from the rim to the bottom of the platter. The final texturing was burned in to give additional feel of fluid movement.
