An odd pair

These are small pieces, made from scraps and are a departure from my usual more elaborate efforts. I was trying to see how thin I could make the stems and have them still support the vessels. The vessels are hollow forms with walls about 1/16" thick. The stems are ebonized poplar. I expect them to start drooping any day now since poplar isn't a particularly sturdy and upright wood.

The skinny one is lacewood, figured maple, jarrah, and ebonized poplar and is 10"Hx1 1/2"Diameter. The other is lacewood, holly, and ebonized poplar, and is 7"Hx2"diameter.
