Bamboo & Resin Bowl

Bamboo & Resin Bowl

Recently harvested bamboo from the local clump and wanted to give it a try on the lathe. Resin filled, cured and turned. Think of the hardest wood you've turned and then add a couple degrees more of hardness....never sharpened so much and even put to shame some Easy Wood Carbide cutters. 7" in diameter by 2" in height. No finish.....what you see is after wet sanding to 2000 and a polish with "Mothers" Head light scratch remover.
