Beaded platter

I've been using the D-Way beading tools to add beads to bowls, etc for awhile now, but hadn't ever gotten around to trying an "illusion." Inspired by an an excellent demo by OVWG member Todd Carris, I dipped my toe in with this small (6") platter. I used acrylic inks for coloring the beads, applying them with a calligraphy pen in the style of Justin Stephen and Matt Hirvonen. Even with a small piece I gained a new appreciation for the effort that's required for these pieces.
