Black Locust Lidded Vessel

This is a beautiful and unusually colored piece of black locust with sapwood. The yellow sapwood is not stained! The lid and foot are made of cherry that was tinted for more contrast.
Your decisions for positioning of the various grain features were excellent. I can't' see how you could have gotten any greater benefit from the grain patter than you have done here. The only thing I'd like to have seen on this piece was a more highly polished finish. Very nice work.
