Blessing cup

Cherry 3.5" x 2", textured then finished with English chestnut stain. Makes me think that is was used as a vessel to hold holy water in an ancient church. Critiques welcome
Thanks. No I'm not taking it this weekend, but it looks as if it would fit in perfect at the Chapel in the Log cabin.
