A really nice finial, Cory, and looks like a nice form. But, IMHO the finial is way too large for this piece. It might be exaggerated by the angle of the photo, but, even with a direct profile shot the finial would probably still look too big. Just my 2¢.
Wonderful piece! I agree with Tom on the proportions of the finial. This one is a beauty, and a more proportional finial would make it exceptional. while well done, it seems to overpower the form as it is now.
