Brown Mallee Burl Tower Box

Alright, it's a new month so time to debut another new box style! This one, modeled after the cooling tower style, is turned from Brown Mallee Burl (Eucalyptus dumosa, E. viridis) from Australia. This particular piece has really wild grain with a nice color variation. It features my signature design elements such as the domed lid, chamfered edges on both top and bottom, and a raised foot. Turned, hollowed and finished with buffed wax then gloss lacquer. Size is 2" in diameter and 1 5/8" tall. This blank sat on the shelf for awhile, but now it is ready to shine!
