Butterfly BOC

Butterfly BOC is turned from a piece of Walnut timber. Overall measurements are 9.5" x 4.75". The handle that holds the BOC bead was turned from Hard Maple. I used woodburning pens to burn the butterflies and the beaded areas of the partial basket illusion pattern (I want to credit & thank David Bartell - his excellent work provided inspiration for this part of the project). I used Parfix 3408 to seal then entire jar, acrylic paints for the areas with color & a clear coat spray acrylic over the painted areas to seal & protect them.
Nice work. Thanks for the acknowledgement. I appreciate it. You show a steady hand with those butterflies I know that I wouldn’t have. Good job.

Thanks David - initially, I was just planning to wood burn the butterflies, but quickly realized it needed something a little extra!
