Cherry burl and black palm finial. Measures to about 10 round by 6 high on the base. Wall thickness is 3/16 or so. Inside finished with walnut oil. Outside finished with 2 coats of shellac sealer for now. Will wait a few days for oil to dry before deciding on final finish.

I like how the lid’s finial is substantial enough to be used as a handle (as I suspect it will). This is a beautiful piece.
