Now, back to the boxes....this little box is similar to my Masur Birch one I made but has a few changes. The overall shape is more compact and only the bottom edge is rounded, which I think looks better. It also features a slightly undercut domed lid design and a foot, which makes it appear like the bottom is floating ever so slightly. Wood is cocobolo- turned to 1/8 inch wall thickness and finished with buffed wax and gloss lacquer. Size is approx. 2.25 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches tall. The grain of the wood is really beautiful and unique, it almost has a "flame" effect to it!
