This is Voice 2, the medium sized block of wood from the "Voice of the Beloved Tree" project (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000815277026&ref=pymk#!/group.php?gid=100819066635706&ref=ts). It is 3.5" wide and about 3" tall. The piece has bark inclusions the the blue shades are spalt. This piece has a wall thickness of 1/32" or 1.5mm. I always try to make the bottoms slightly thicker so the piece doesn't teeter totter. The bottom of this is about 1/8" thick.

I love the undulating rim that mimics the undulating grain..so rustic, yet a flowing shape..thanks for showing..

When my husband saw the block of wood he thought I couldn't do anything with it. I saw a diamond in the rough! I have folks calling/emailing/txting me asking to buy it. Had another turner ask for a price last night.
