Walnut Natural Edge Bowl

This is third of a series of three Walnut Natural Edge bowls. The difference in the three bowls is the progression of the carved feet. Green turned walnut natural edge bowl resting on three carved feet. This bowl is an excellent exhibit of both the dark heartwood and the light sap wood. Measures 4 1/8" x 11 3/16" x 6 1/4".

Great pieces. Looks to me like one of the main differences in the three is that they get progressively shallower.

While I like all three the third seems to posses a better balance of dark to light. At least to my eye,others may differ.

The more slender feet add to the lift, and the light and dark highlight the natural edge and the curves. Beautiful!

Harold, I like how the placement of the feet give that feeling that the piece is a comfortable chair/lounge to lay back in. The curve of the feet echo the curve of the bowl above...a nice touch. Congrats on Turning of the Week!

What a great visualization of the progression of feet. I, too, like the feet on the third bowl. More inspiration for me to try that sooner rather than late.
