10% MC as received, so no further seasoning required. Overall size was 8.5 x 2.5

Odie, thanks so much for your comments and rating. Your bowl artistry, attention to detail and wood are incredible and all inspiring to a newbie like me.

As for the piece, I was hoping to have saved more bark inclusions; however external surface damage was just too deep, but on the bright side I was able to save some.

Nice looking piece. Keep the lathe going and making nice pieces like this and you just might get into coloring your pieces. ;)

Have you been talking to my wife? I already have a challenge to color a hollow form for our living room to accent a specific color in the new pillows she purchased. The maple reserved is at 16% MC so it will be a while. Good news for me, because coloring will be a challenge and I need the time to do the R&D trials.
