This is a platter I started during a Doug Fisher Class a Arrowmont. Thanks FL woodturning Symposium. I took first place in the advance division at the CFWT December Super Show and Tell.

Beautiful plate. The texturing and bright colors are a departure from the teacher, but has brought out another artist. I'm sure Doug is beaming with pride to see his student achieve like this.

That's a wonderful piece. Obvious influence by Douglas, but you really added your own dimension to it with the design work. Outstanding!
