Hollow Form - 502

Red Maple Burl, size is 3" dia x 4.5" tall. Finished with Danish oil and buffed with white diamond followed by carnauba wax.
Nice piece, Ed. Just wondering if there was any particualr reason why you skipped the tripoli wheel? Already sanded above that grit, maybe?

Thanks Carole. I don't find any benefit buffing with tripoli on most of my work. I sand to 600 grit most of the time. But never less than 400. I use very little white diamond. Just enough to get the polishing process started and just enough wax to finish it. I don't care much for a high gloss finish. For me, it looks unnatural.
