Blue Blue Monday is an 18 inch tall birch piece. It has been painted with copper paint and 3 different acids for patina. The finial is maple.
C & C welcome
The colors are fantastic, Ronald, nicely done. For my taste and for such a nice tall vessel, I think the finial, although nice in itself, actually detracts from the piece. Question, what copper paint did you use? I'm sure many of us would like to know your coloring technique.
The paint is from Art Chemicals and I have cupiric Nitrate with several applications The brighter copper area is copper leaf that was applied with very little acid Hope this helps Hal. I have a how to posted on Lumberjocks also.
