Barnwood and bolt mirror

Made this out of Barnwood pieces. It's 2 parts and if you have the patience to remove 16 bolts you can remove the lid of the box. It is of course a hand mirror.
Rather unique, to say the least. How did you make the raised area on the handle? Router?
