A bit of a Rattlesnake

As a full time taxidermist and part time woodturner, thought it might be fun to combine work with pleasure. The tanned snake skin comes from a road kill that the vultures haven’t carried off yet. Feathers are Ruffed Grouse tail. Colorado Aspen Vase, Antique Oil Finish. 14 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide
Thank you Jay, I sure haven't seen anything like it other than just leather straps. I really like the pattern of the snake skin, and I have a diamondback skin for the next one!
