Foxy Box

6” Lidded cherry box. My newest concept for unusual boxes. I came up with the idea after considering multi-axis turning. The fox-lid has been turned and burned, the leaves are relief-carved, the box turned on 2 axis. Everything was painted in multiple layers. Definitely a direction I’d like to explore more.

You should definitely explore this further. The carving, pyro and coloring all look great. There is a lot of confusing terminology in woodturning. I might be wrong but I would call this an off-center turning (in the same plane) and not multi-axis (different planes)...but, I have been wrong before! :)
I also agree with Emiliano about the shape of the interior.

Thank you for your great comments, Tom. I will get my terminology straight and the inside shapes more round. The next box will have improvements.☺️
