Cherry Platter

As most clubs, our club has some type of challenge each month. April was a platter. I’ve always wanted to make a platter that incorporated piercing. Normally I turn to 0.060 +/- for piercing. That thin would just about make this platter impossible to hold. The piercing area for this platter is +1/8” and does provide sufficient strength for handling. Just took a whole lot longer to pierce. I used both TransTint and Chestnut Stain for color. The platter is 17” in diameter and has a lacquer finish.
