Embellished Walnut Platter

This 12 inch overall diameter platter was turned from a solid plank of walnut. The handles were cut, drilled and carved to create their shape. Texturing was added to the sections where the handles 'attach' to the platter center section to give them a hammered metallic look. Embellishments were added to the platter rim with pyrography and rotary tools to enhance the overall look. Finish is Watco oil, buffed on the Beall system.
