Finished 8-18-2021. Maple burl bowl #1885. 11 5/16" x 3 7/16". 1lb 2.9 oz. Initial bowl blank showed 12% MC, but after roughing it continued to lose weight over the course of 7 months before I decided to final turn it. Sanded to 600gt. Danish Oil Natural. Beall 3-step buffed. Many details. Has significant undercut rim...difficult in a bowl like this, because the surface underneath the rim needs to have the same quality of finish as the rest of the entire bowl. -----odie-----
Odie I can recognize your work anywhere because of your attention to the crisp sharp detail you always put into your work, but this piece is stunning, timber wise and form go together perfectly. Great job!!
