Hickory Bowl

This Hickory bowl is about 8 ½” x 2 ½” and is finished with Danish oil. It has a slightly down sloping rim that is undercut. I like the grain of this one and it is deceivingly heavy for it’s size. The groves were scored and burned with a wire.
That's just about a perfect bowl. Nicely finished and almost unblemished surface, outstanding wood, the modest decoration is an excellent accent to the shape, and the foot nicely elevates the bowl and highlights the lines. Very well done.
