This partly segmented piece finished at 12 1/2" D x 5" tall made from Walnut and Wenge. The piece was first turned on the lathe then the pattern was hand drawn before the carving and pyrography work was done the final finish is lacquer.
I love the work on the base, it makes you want to pick the piece up. It’s interesting that your segments at the rim are of differing sizes, I like that as well! Nicely done Bruce!

Thank you Russ for commenting and complementing, The segments are all the same size every third one was a light colored piece, this means my glue seams are good to make you think the other two are one piece.
