A scrap of hickory from my neighbors dead hickory he took down last year. Had one spot filled with coffee grounds. Finished with an application of Watco teak oil followed by lacquer spray and Yorkshire grit when dry.
Packed it in and dripped CA onto it, building to the needed depth. I usually do this just before the finish cuts. I may have dribbled some black walnut dust into the smaller crevices as well.
