This bowl has a natural bark edge in a square shape with a 2 3/4" w by 1" h bowl in the center of the 5 3/4" square. Total height of the piece is 1 1/2" due to the upturn of the square wing. Buffed Lacquer finish.
Im glad you like my piece, it was a lot of fun to turn as well as the first time Ive turned a natural edge on a square bowl. It was started using a log held on a screw chuck. The bottom was turned first with the tenon and the wing shape was formed rounding down to the corner of the of the bark edge from the side of the bowl. The wing was held parallel to the bottom and 1/8 thick. Thanks again, Ray
