Fresh off the symposium, it's time to get back to turning what I know best, more boxes!! This one is from a stunning blank of Amboyna Burl (Pterocarpus indicus). Turned as a cylinder variant, it has a slight hourglass shape and a undercut, domed lid. Size is approx. 2 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. The wood turns beautifully and it finishes very nicely. Most of the professionals and attendees at Turning 2023 really liked my boxes in both the instant gallery and auction, so it is very humbling to be creating work others appreciate and can enjoy!!
