this is very cleanly executed, Peter! How much depth did you create for the face? Or is it relatively flat? I think you've nailed the contour... I'd love to see a side view....

Thank you for the feedback, John. The platter has a depth of about 2 inches, so it is flat enough to hold things in place yet curved enough to show that it was turned on a lathe.

By the way, I was really happy with the way this piece worked out, but on top of that I finished it, took pictures, brought it to my local gallery and it sold 3 hours later.
