Time for a new style! Turned from Kamagong Ebony (Diospyros blancoi), this box is very different then my other ones, it is a straight cylinder but I have added raised bead at the joint. Also there is a rounded over corner on both top and bottom, as well as a very subtle dome at the top of the lid. Turned, hollowed and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 1 3/4" tall x 1 5/8" diameter. I will continue to try this style in different woods, although it takes a lot more time and skill than the other boxes!
