Black Walnut Wave Bowl 2

This is one piece of wood. I learned the wave technique from John Beaver. The wave is bleached multiple times to provide a striking contrast with the rich brown of the walnut.
That's really cool! How did you do the cutout - may I ask? The crotch feather on the bottom is the icing on cake.
Thank you Nino. The process requires three separate turnings on the lathe and cutting it apart on a bandsaw using a special jig. There is a registration system to line all the parts back up. John Beaver is an excellent instructor of this technique if you ever get a chance to see him.
