I appreciate that you got the curve on the base and side of the finial to match or blend with the curve of the hollow form, and you keep the finial on the short side, which ends up suiting this form very nicely. Well done.
Thanks. It's always a bit tricky. I hold the hollow form up, close one eye, and try to line things up. But you don't know if you've got the curve right till you part the finial off the lathe (and then it's too late to fix).
