Shoot for the stars

“Shoot for the stars” is inspired by those that strive to achieve something particularly difficult. This vessel is a 5”x9” hollow form of Elm that was turned and carved from green wood. The 20 stars are cut from copper sheets and shaped with sanding disks and hammered to achieve the texture. The finish is acrylic paint and metallic paste with lacquer topcoat.
