After shipping my only Olivewood box I have made off to the AAW POP Exhibition and Auction, I was on the hunt for another piece I could replace that box with. Thankfully my wood supplier had a large, figured, piece he custom cut and here it is! This time it is figured Olivewood (Olea europaea) with a touch of burl on the lid. Style features include a true, squat round bottom, curved sides, chamfered rim, and domed lid. Turned, hollowed and finished with abrasive wax followed my melamine lacquer. Size is 1 3/4" diameter x 1 7/8" tall. Overall Olivewood is just a beautiful wood to work with!
