Alan, I probably work a bit different when it comes to Basket illusion designs. I come up with a main element. In this case, the 6 black spokes. Study for a while and then put the red and black “arrow head” design between each. Study some more. The middle flower design came next. After that I just added the secondary weaves, turned the spokes into arrows and made myself stop!
