Leland Cypress (2)

Made this from a large Leland Cypress log a landscaper dropped off at my house. It's been one of my most challenging large pieces to finish. 23 inches tall and almost as much open space as wood. Lots of inside surface sanding, inclusion edge cleanup and careful mounting to not break the top opening.
Thanks Ted. The "method" is whatever I can use to get at it with. Here there were plenty of openings for my small drill sander, my 90 deg drill motor on a stick, a long stick with paper stapled to the end, my hand, etc. Even with all the open spaces there's plenty of sides and areas that are hard to get to. I got my arm and wrist caught more than a few times and the edges of some of the inclusions often made it tricky to not get stuck.
