These bowls are from logs that had been cored and dried for two years. They measure from 7”-9” in diameter and all have decorative rims textured and painted with techniques learned from Roberto Ferrer and Neil Turner. The texturing is accomplished with multiple tools, including pyrography, micromotor carving, lathe tools and wire brushing. A torch is used for some of the cleaning. All painting starts with a base of India Ink with multiple shades of acrylic paints hand brushed. Friction polish is the primary finish over different primers.
