Mesquite Vase

A highly figured piece of Mesquite. Lots of cracks and grain change. The feature ring is an experimental variation on "traditional" basket illusion with angles used on the dividing lines. The attempt is to create the look of Native American blanket patterns. 9 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Finished with Waterlox.

Beautiful, David. I really like the look of your BI variation .... to me the 45º angles are more interesting!
