Elm hollow form - milk paint and Beall buff.

The roughed out hollow form sat in the chuck under plastic wrap for a week while we had house guests and then I went in pursuit of a recently fallen cherry tree that needed immediate attention. By the time I got back to it a layer of mold had developed. The wall was already pretty thin so in a few spots it went all the way through the vessel, hence, instead of a natural finish, I turned to highly buffed milk paint. The finished vessel is 6” diameter by 4 1/2” tall.
