The Great Auk

Great auks form long‑term, largely monogamous pairs: Males and females reunite on the same breeding ledge year after year, sharing nest‑guarding and chick‑rearing duties. These birds were made from antique bowling pins cut apart, reassembled, carved, textured, and dry-brush painted.
